Kay Jay is a Swiss DJ and artist rooted in hip hop and global urban sounds. Based in Fribourg, Switzerland, he's been performing and curating cross-cultural sets since 2014, mixing genres like R'n'B, dancehall, afro, latino, and more. His mission : to share positive energy and take the crowd on a musical journey through the rhythms of the world.
Kay Jay — Bio
Kay Jay was born in 1988 in Fribourg, Switzerland, and has been connected to music since childhood. Influenced early by his mother's love for music, he found his path through hip hop and urban culture, starting to rap, sing, and explore all its elements at just 14.
In 2011, he organized his first event in Lausanne, and by 2014, he fully embraced DJing — a passion he continues to pursue with energy and purpose.
Rooted in hip hop and R'n'B, Kay Jay's sets blend global sounds — from dancehall and afrobeat to bollywood, baile funk, and latino vibes. More than a DJ, he's a cultural traveler, sharing good energy and connecting people through rhythm.

Nomad is a DJ collective created in 2023 by 4 friends and today composed by Kay Jay and Kless, joined later by Kalu and Dnasty. They are blending deep experience with fresh energy. United by a passion for urban music and global sounds, they take crowds on a musical journey across cultures — mixing hip hop, afrobeat, latin, oriental vibes, and more.
Nomad is more than music — it's a way to travel the world through rhythm.
